Chrysalis: Filmmaker Challenge
In partnership with Encounters, AVAWAVES are calling on filmmakers to collaborate with them to explore themes of nature and resilience in a magical and innovative way. After writing Chrysalis during lockdown and both based in different countries AVAWAVES were inspired by their surroundings, finding solace and inspiration in nature.
With the urgency of the current climate crisis, AVAWAVES hope that a collaboration between film and music will be a way to inspire new thinking and change - no matter how small - in ways that overcome the daunting magnitude of the climate crisis.
We’re asking filmmakers to shoot new or reutilise existing footage to create 30-90 second films using three tracks from their newly released album. These tracks are: Awakening, Chrysalis or Midnight Bird.
All films participating in this initiative will be granted a license to use the tracks, royalty-free, for future exhibition opportunities such as festivals, online channels, and other competitions.
To participate please follow the link at the bottom of this page and complete the submissions form.
