Immersive AV sound system experience

Leading this year’s programme is the UK premiere of Sirāt Live, presented by Encounters as part of Crack and MUBI’s ‘Underscore’ event series.

World‑renowned musician, DJ and Sirāt composer Kangding Ray will perform a new immersive AV sound system experience - an “existential rave” at Bristol’s Prospect Building on Thursday 24th September - reimagining the score alongide the film’s director Oliver Laxe, who VJs unseen footage shot on set, selecting and mixing images live. Not a screening with a soundtrack, but two artists drawing from the film's world to create a new, unrepeatable live work.

Elsewhere at the festival, Oliver Laxe and Kangding Ray will each join us to talk about their work on the film. Festival passes and tickets for this event are now available, with further announcements to come.
